Know of any other uses for luggage tags?

As previously mentioned, my Dad had a testimonial dinner this past weekend. One of the little items he gave his guests was a really nice luggage tag with a flag and eagle on one side and his name and contact information on the other side. Knowing my parents they weren’t cheap but didn’t cost a fortune either, particularly when they bought so many. (For anyone wondering, they were not from Johnston and Murphy.) They looked terrific and were very colorful. What I had to wonder is what purpose giving someone else a luggage tag with your info has? One of the guests joked they were so my Dad could ship himself all over the country. So, do any of you have any thoughts on what else could be done with these tags? I’m going to have to ask my Dad what the thought behind these was.
