Karito Kids review and giveaway
I don’t have girls but I do have two nieces and another one due any time now, so I do check out girls’ toys and clothes. Thanks to Beth at RoleMommy I got a chance to check out a new line of dolls called the Karito Kids. Let me tell you, these dolls left an impression.
Karito Kids dolls aren’t your ordinary doll. Each 21 inch tall doll represents a different world culture. The line consists of six dolls – Piper (Australia), Ling (China), Zoe (New York), Gia (Italy), Lulu (Kenya), and Pita (Mexico). When a girl gets one of the six Karito Kids dolls, it comes with one outfit and a chapter book about her heritage. Each doll has hair that can be styled and the dolls can wear most 18″ doll clothes.
A portion of the $99 purchase price of each doll is donated to a charity selected by your child. Each doll comes with a unique activation code. When your little girl activates that code she will choose a world charity that the money will go to. Once online she’ll be able to create an online profile. By playing games and learning about other countries and cultures on the site and she’ll earn World Change, which also help less fortunate children.
I thought the doll was beautiful, and found it sturdy and well made. I think the idea of a child being able to help other children is fantastic. What a great way to reinforce the values we must teach our children. The Karito Kids dolls remind us that charity does begin at home and that one person no matter how big or small can make a difference.

Simply Amazing!! I love the fact that our children can learn about the children of the world and how they can help them. I love how each girl is unique. I would absolutly LOVE to give this doll to my 7 year old daughter!!
I would give this to my niece and I really like the varying cultures that the dolls have and the size of the dolls!
I like that the dolls aren’t just cookie cutter, they represent all kinds of girls. My niece would love this doll.
My favorite thing about the dolls is that proceeds go to end hunger, provide books for education, help children live healthier lives, and live in safe, secure homes….I would give it to my BF with 3 little girls

I love the fact that the Karito Kids don’t all look alike, with slight skin and haircolor differences. Each doll looks like a different person, which is very refreshing.
I would give Lulu to my daughter, Roo. She loves soccer, too!
I like that buying these helps those in need. My twin daughters would share, for now.
I love that they are educational and teach children about other cultures! It is especially wonderful that each purchase helps a child! Very unique! I would give this doll to my son’s friend
She would love it!
This is probably silly, but I like that the dolls are all wearing appropriate clothing in comparison to the mini skirts and tube tops you see on many dolls these days. I would give this doll to my daughter.
What a wonderful way to introduce children to the variety of culture this world has. I would love to win one for my grand-daughters.

I collect African American dolls so this would be perfect for my collection
I love that they teach about other cultures in such an individual way! What a great way to help our children open their minds to different kinds of people! My favorite it Lulu!

I love Lulu! She is my favorite along with Ling. What I like about these dolls is that it helps children learn about other cultures in a PERSONAL way. These dolls each have their own personality, look, and “lives” (through their stories). I think this makes learning about the culture associated with the doll more like getting to know a good friend, instead of studying a sterile textbook version of culture.
I also love that each purchase helps another child through the Karito Kids charity!
I would be SOOO excited to win one of these fabulous dolls!

Hi! I have adored these dolls since I saw their site awhile back. Their slogan “Open her world, her mind, her heart’ says so much. These multi cultural dolls send such a positive message. I think the whole world should catch on to this concept! I would love to win “Lulu” for my niece. What a fabulous Christmas gift. Please enter me in your drawing. Many thanks…..Cindi
I enjoy the fact that every purchase helps another child!!

Wow! What’s not to like about this site and these dolls? I love how interactive and fun the site is. It has recipes for Pete’s sake! And after you buy one the new owner/Mommy/friend can go online and designate how a portion of the retail price is sent to a charity! Amazing!
