I owe, I owe, he’s not going to work, no no

It’s been really slow at work lately for RB. He’s a painter and 99.5% of his work is done at a huge apartment complex. Today he came home and told me the complex didn’t have any more work for them and he was off until at least Tuesday. He’s supposed to get a call then letting him know if there’s work or not. I had a long talk with him, during which he was surprisingly calm, and he thinks this may be a long term problem. We agree it doesn’t make sense to do anything before Tuesday, what with the long holiday weekend and everything. So for the next couple of days he can stay home and hopefully get some stuff done around the house like taming the flower bed (I must remember to take pictures of that and you’ll know what I mean), finding out why one of the bathroom sinks is backing up,and maybe even painting a room or two. I really hope his work situation ends up to be a short term problem. Keep your fingers crossed.
