@ John M - Much of what he's got was either handed down or given as a gift. I wouldn't sell something given to us. We either give it away or donate it, as there are people in far more difficult situations then ours.

When I was a kids, we always kept our new toys in the living room near the tree for the week we had off from school. It was fun going to the "pile" to choose something new to play with. My children always did the same. The last two years, however, we've had to change our ways and put everything away after opening. The reason? Our puggle. Although she is almost 3 years old, she loves to chew the christmas tree, towels, socks, toilet paper, etc. Don't want to take any chances with the christmas gifts!

We are going to try and put a dent in putting stuff away also. I have told wife to go through the old toys and get them into basement for flea market, or giving to other kids.
