Hola brother!
The USS Abraham Lincoln stopped in Hawaii last week on its return from a seven month deployment. My parents and my middle younger brother were there to watch it pull in and to see my brother. I so wish I could have been there, my family and some friends have told me it is most impressive to watch these ships come in with the sailors manning the deck. I’ve been lucky enough to speak to my brother a couple of times while he was deployed and get some emails, but I haven’t seen him in a long time and I missed him. In some odd display of unbelievably freakish luck, I was surfing today and looking at pictures on some Navy sites and I stumbled across a picture of my brother. I know it’s mushy but seeing it made me cry. I am so proud of him, and I am so glad he’s safe.

Obviously I want to give credit where it is due. The pic was taken by Mass Communication Specialist 3rd Class Sean P. Gallagher and I found it on the Navy site. Thanks so much for taking this pic, you’ve made me so happy.
