Header issue is making me want to bang my head against the wall

I think that pretty much sums it all up, don’t you? I have a lovely designer making a new theme for my review blog. I’ve had no luck finding the right header myself and wasn’t terrible thrilled with her original concept. I want to love this, I don’t want to settle. Does anyone know someone good at creating vector graphics that doesn’t charge an arm and a leg?
