Have you seen the news?

I was surprised by the announcement that NFL player Michael Vick has been moved to Leavenworth in Kansas and wants to enter the drug rehabilitation program offered at that same facility. Now, I remember when the news broke about Vick and the dog fighting, and I don’t recall hearing anything about him having a drug addiction. I find it interestingly convenient that inmates become eligible for consideration of up to a year of early release from their sentence. I read it and was left wondering if he was being afforded a little special treatment because of his fame and fortune. In my opinion, his punishment should have been to live life as those poor abused dogs did and live the rest of his life scarred and ruined.
