Growing pains
My older son’s growth spurt has restarted again. We had a couple of weeks off, thank goodness. Just in the past three months or so he’s gone from a size 10.5 sneaker to a size 11. Two days ago he told me his jeans were uncomfortable. Sure enough, they were getting a little snug and short. The hormones definitely stage a revolt and take over some days. I can definitely do without the attitude and the tone of voice that sometimes rear their ugly head. I keep having to remind him that one does not need to bathe in body spray, nor will girls be impressed by it. You’d think we owned stock in Axe or something. One good thing, I’ve noticed with him running track he’s getting lots of sun and air and his skin is looking a bit better. That means he’s no longer asking us about natural acne treatments and he hasn’t asked me to buy him those expensive skin products he sees on tv either. Also on the plus side, he told me he wants to keep his new sneakers white and has already tried to clean them. Of course, if he’s going to turn into my brother this may not be a good thing.

Aw! Bless his heart! I can’t believe his foot grew that much in a matter of months!
