Do you sing in front of others?
I do not sing in front of others, because I do not sing well. Yes, I am sure of this. But that’s a different story for another time.
My son had a friend sleep over last night.
Here’s how the invitation, which I overheard, went.
My son: Do you want to sleep over?
My son’s friend: I’m not sure what I’m doing, maybe, let me call you back.
My son: Ok, cool. I got Rock Band and
My son’s friend: You got Rock Band! Yeah! Dad, can I go to a sleepover, pleeeeeeeeease?
So he slept over. On and off since about 8:30 last night I have been hearing them play Rock Band. But now that my son has a friend over vocals have been added. I love it when kids sing. They don’t care who hears them or how good they are. But what makes it kind of amusing is that my son and his friend are both twelve, and their voices are changing naturally. When it cracks in the middle of a line it cracks me up.

Baby Advice - Kids sure are great that way!
Justin - Not a problem, I appreciate sharing of thoughts. I know more than a few people who are all about the stuff. I do work outside of the house, because we’re just regular folks going day to day. But I do work great hours so I get to spend a good amount of time with my kids after school.
No way. But I think it is a good sign when people do, even if they are not good singers - good self confidence. Self confidence is a huge key for happiness, I believe.

I agree, self confidence is a very important thing. I think it’s great when a child has self confidence. I used to sing out loud. Then, as a child of 12 I was on a flight to London wearing headphones singing silently to myself, or so I thought. A man sitting nearby asked me not to sing because he said I wasn’t very good at it. I haven’t sung out loud since.
I DO NOT sing in front of others. But that’s so cute that they had such a great time with their singing. It must have been fun as a mom to witness it.
