Do you like to surf the internet?
I took my son out to Philadelphia this past Saturday for an mri. We were a little late courtesy of traffic provided by The Penn Relays. He was put under anesthesia for the testing. After the scan was complete he was brought back to his room to sleep it off, as it were. The nurse was a very nice guy who said my son would probably be out for a while and he felt bad there wasn’t much I could do. He said “do you like to surf the internet?, to which I smiled and just said yes to keep it simple. I watched him turn on the computer in the room and log in to the server. At that point he moved out of the chair and told me to feel free to surf to my heart’s content. I thought that was very cool! I noticed how quickly and smoothly the computer was operating and wanted to peek at the specs to see how much ram it had and what kind of processor it had but I didn’t want to make myself unwelcome. So instead I did some surfing and blog reading. Is this typical of nursing staff to do, or did I just have a really nice one?
