An odd thing for a young child to watch

Over the past several weeks we’ve discovered that CJ likes to watch golf on television. He likes it a lot. When the golfer swings, CJ squeals with excitement. He will pretend to play golf by placing a ball on the floor and swinging at it with anything nearby that passes for a pretend club. We were going to get him a toy golf set for his birthday but it wouldn’t have been here in time so we decided to wait a bit and if he’s still interested in a couple of months we’ll get it for Christmas. We can’t figure out where he saw golf on tv in the first place that he got hooked. We don’t watch golf, the closest we’ve ever come to watching golf is watching a tv interview with Rusty Wallace, who mentioned he used Callaway irons.
