A visit to a plastic surgeon’s office
We took CJ to the plastic surgeon today as a follow up to last Friday’s visit to the ER. As soon as we walked in there was a sign on the desk that said “WE DO NOT PARTICIPATE WITH ANY INSURANCE”. Freaking wonderful. I looked at RB and he said “well, who do you think paid for the marble countertops?” I filled out the six pages of paperwork and decided to grab a seat. There were some lovely looking couches on both sides of the waiting room, they were comfy and really nice quality. There were framed articles on every wall featuring stories about the group. The doctor was 30 minutes late. For what patients are paying out of pocket you’d think he’d be on time. He said things are looking good and when we come back in two weeks we’ll be able to see better because the swelling will have gone done and the scab fallen off. I’m praying the scar stays on his lip and doesn’t go onto his face.

They don’t take anyone’s insurance??? I never heard of that.
Karens last blog post..The Flattest Continent
@ karen – Yes, it isn’t totally unheard of. Sometimes chiropractors don’t participate with insurances either.
