thats what my mom did for me... same as what tiffany did/does. I didnt even know they had such high-tech pullups these days... but i wouldnt think the color change on the crotch would helpp too much. it might be something the child grows to love -_-

Potty training was one of those standard parenting things I missed out on, but I do understand advertising and this is definitely a "parent's ease" design. The only thing kids will learn from peering at their crotch is poor social skills. ;)

we do not use pullups I do not believe that they help in potty training, It is just a diaper that can be pulled up and down. I found the best way is to use underpants, they are really uncomfy when they are wet. All mine were potty trianed with in 3 days of switching from diapees to undies.

claire - My son is 8 and in a self contained special needs classroom so they'll allow anything he needs. As mentioned though he's in pullups for at night and in the car. He's ok going pee in the potty but must be reminded. Not much luck yet with #2.

pussreboots - Pussreboots - He’s in underwear all day, but needs constant reminding. He’s ok going pee in the potty but must be reminded. Not much luck yet with #2.

tina - That applies to more than toilet training right? LOL.

yuck - Nowhere did I say I was chemically burning my child. Comment deleted.

Pull ups did nothing in the way of helping my son toilet train. They were too much like diapers to motivate him. What did work was an egg timer and regular underwear. He learned to set the timer for an hour and when it went off he had to go use the potty regardless. One week of doing this and he was trained.

My niece is being potty trained. Harder than it looks, isn't it?

I never thought of it with the Pull Ups but you are right.

Pull ups are like a bigger version of a diaper. They really arent very effective and most daycares dont allow them. The best thing to use it thick cotton underwear, if you want to get across the point that it is an uncomfortable feeling.
