A dirty review
I had something happen that hasn’t happened to me before and it made me wonder if it had happened to anyone else. I wrote a product review for a lip gloss I tried. The product I reviewed was the Avon Color Trend Roller Ball Lip Gloss. I wrote my review and saved it to do a couple of things around the house. I returned about a half hour later, prepared to publish it. I decided to reread it one more time, and I couldn’t believe what I saw with my own “fresh” eyes. When I reread my review it sounded quite a bit like soft porn! Thanks goodness I hadn’t published it yet. I had to reword some problem areas so it read better. I’m sure most of you can imagine what could happen in a post with the words ball, slippery, wet, roll, lips and taste if the author isn’t careful. So. Have you ever had to rewrite part or all of an article because it sounded dirty?

No, when it sounds like soft porn, I meant it too, lol. I have an adult blog of erotica written by a woman, lol, that I don’t advertise with my profile.
LOL, that is so funny.
Karen’s last blog post..Seven Things About Me
I haven’t had this problem yet, but now I’ll make sure to watch out for it. I’m a pretty dirty minded person so I try to watch what I write, but you never know what may happen.
Holly’s last blog post..My mothers birthday.
Not to sound unethical, but it might have brought you a little more traffic – being seductive and all! LOL So just kidding! I usually check my work before I post also. I suppose this would be a subtle reminder to us all to do the same!
Karlan’s last blog post..Fellow Bloggers :: Been rank-spanked by Google?
Karlan – you are absolutely right. I could have left it that way and titles it differently and probably had a bunch of traffic. I don’t know that it would have been unethical but it would not have been my typical style of writing.
Isn’t it just AWFUL!? Those words like ball, slippery, wet, roll, lips and taste used to be wholesome REAL words before perverts got ahold of them and spread their filth. Sheesh. Irks me to no end. I love language and how I hate to see it mangled.
Mrs. Mecomber’s last blog post..Growing Challenge: Planting Seeds
LOL!! I have written anything like that but now I’ll pay special attention so as not to draw special attention that is not warranted.
Laura @ Laura Williams’ Musings’s last blog post..Winners!!
Thanks goodness I usually reread before publishing! How embarrassing that would have been.
