Where do you find the best travel deals?

My parents travel frequently now that my mother is retired. It seems like they’re always taking a vacation or attending a convention. I know when they’re going to travel my father spends a lot of time trying to find good airline deals. My father is a national officer for the Sons of the American Legion. The region he represents includes France, so I’m expecting my mother to want to go there. With that in mind, I’ll be mentioning AirValues to him, because they offer cheap international flights. AirValues offers more than airfares, they also have rental car, cruise and hotel deals. The searchable database for airfare will be particularly helpful because there is no need to know the airports little code. I tried searching and just used the name of the city and it worked with no problem. I don’t remember if there were student discounts when I went to England while I was in high school, but apparently there are now. Now I’m in the mood to take a vacation.
