What happened to fun underwear?
Do you remember underoos? My Mom used to get them for at least one of my brothers. I had to buy childrens underwear this week for my son, and was surprised to see there seemed to be a lot less “fun” underwear for kids. I only saw 2 cartoon styles, and then there was boxers, briefs and boxer briefs. I’m going to keep looking for more character underwear. I’m hoping if my son likes what’s on the underwear enough it will help motivate him to stay dry.
We’ve been working on helping my youngest with potty training for a solid year now. He can stay dry most of the day but sometimes needs some reminding. The teacher wrote me a note earlier this week since he does so well pottying in school she thought it would be a good time to try underwear. Yesterday he stayed dry in his underwear from the time he got to school until about 8pm last night (until we had a little accident of the other kind). He seemed proud of being in underwear, he even ran across the house to show his brother he was wearing them. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
A thought on baby wipes. I usually use Huggies because I like their texture, size and thickness. I had to buy Pampers wipes last week and couldn’t believe how thin and small they seemed. I needed twice as many as I usually use for cleaning a poopy butt. My favorites were Luvs wipes, but I can’t find them anymore.
