What does this cost?

Today I stopped at the grocery store on my way home, so I could pick up some candy for any Trick or Treaters we might get tomorrow. I live less than one mile from Stop & Shop and have to pass it to get home, so that’s where I went. It is not where I usually shop, I prefer Shop Rite. I grabbed a few bags of a kind of candy they were almost out of and made my way to the front of the store. I asked one of the front end people if she could find out how much the item cost. She looked at me like I had ten heads and said “no, no way find out price unless go register. What you think you at Target?”. I told her I wasn’t ready to get on line to check out yet and she said “that the only way” and walked away. Now I don’t know about you, but I don’t buy things if I don’t know what they cost. So I walked over to the customer service booth, where the manager happened to be. He was helping man the desk because they were so short staffed. After getting my name (that’s another story all in itself) he asked what he could do for me. I told him I needed a price. He gave it to me. In return I told him what an attitude the front end woman had given me.
