What do you do if you have more than one ring?
Many people like myself wear certain jewelry every day. This morning when I went into my jewelry box to get out my necklace that I wear daily, I encountered my old engagement ring in the bottom corner of the box. I’d forgotten it was in there. My husband bought it for me just before we got married. He got it from an estate sale, and it was very inexpensive. It didn’t have diamonds, only diamond chips. A few years back he gave me a gorgeous anniversary band with 33 diamonds and I never take that off. I don’t want to just leave the original engagement ring sitting in the drawer, not will I give it away or just get rid of it. How would you handle it if you had several diamond rings?

Hi! I came over from NaBloPoMo. I’m challenging myself to comment on as many blogs as possible this month.
I have a tendency to wear the jewelry that means the most to me. (Which, consequently, means I don’t wear any at the moment.) My mom, though, wears her first husband’s wedding band on her right hand (he died tragically when they were newlyweds) and her more current jewelry on her left.
Happy Posting!
I already wear something on my right ring finger. I also thought of perhaps getting the ring made smaller and wearing it on my pinky, but then thought an engagement ring might look funny there. I’m thinking saving it for my son is a better idea.
For our 15th anniversary my husband bought me a new wedding band to “replace” my original ring. I couldn’t bare the thought of not wearing my original so I moved it over to my right hand.
I’ve given you a special award, hope you’ll come on over and check it out.
Awwww, thanks Lynne! I appreciate it! What a great thing to see first thing in the morning.
I am a single guy, but if I were married I would hope my wife would cherish the ring as a momento even if she didn’t wear it. It isn’t the ring you married, its the man - so I’m sure he isn’t worried that you don’t wear it.
He isn’t worried I don’t wear it at all. I do cherish it, that’s why I wish I could do something with it. It’s only teeny chips, so I can’t have it made into something else. I guess I’ll save it for our first grandchild.
