Root planing part deux

This afternoon I had the other half of my mouth root planed. A different dentist came in to give me the novacaine shots. He looked at my file and told the hygeniest he didn’t know enough about Hashimotos Thyroiditis and disappeared. He came back and gave me the shots. Again we waited for the numbness to set in before beginning work. When she got around to the bottom front I felt it a bit and told her. When she was finished, I asked why some areas were wearing off already. She told me the dentist had given me a different type of shot than the last time because of my thyroid and it wore off more quickly. This left me wondering which one of the dentists did it right. Everything had worn off this time in less than 3 hours.
