My trick or treater is too tired to trick or treat!

My eleven year old and I took my eight year old out trick or treating after school today. We were only out an hour when he couldn’t go on. His little legs and feet were so tired. He kept sitting down on people’s steps and porches to take a break. He kept handing me his plastic pumpkin bucket that we brought with us to put the candy in. He kept saying “night”, which is what he tells us when he’s ready to go to sleep. If the little one recharges perhaps we’ll take him out again later, seeing as we only went about five blocks and many people weren’t home yet.
