My brother’s visit

My youngest brother, the one in the Navy, came home on Thanksgiving and is returning to California on Friday. Even though he’s home I haven’t had much time to spend with him as he’s trying to see everyone, both family and friends, in a relatively short time. He’s been asking us to come visit him in San Diego. Now at first that seemed silly, being as there are four in my family and only one of him. But if we visited him in San Diego we could have him all to ourselves when he wasn’t working. I wondered what we could do for fun while we were out there and he was at work, but now I realize that would not be a problem.

Trusted Tours and Attractions sells tickets for sightseeing tours, attractions and museums in many major cities including San Diego. We’ve never been to San Diego, or California for that matter, so we’d need to hit well known sights like the San Diego Zoo and Legoland. But it’d also be fun to take some of the tours that I saw on the Trusted Tours website. I know my youngest son would absolutely love the Old Town Trolley Tour. My older son would enjoy both the San Diego Haunted Ghost Tour and the Haunted Old Town Walking Tour, as well as the San Diego Air and Space Museum. As for me and the hubby, I suspect we’d try and convince my brother to watch the kids one night so we could take a San Diego Dinner Cruise.

We’re not ready to go yet, but I have signed up for the Trusted Travel e-Newsletter. This way I’ll get some travel tips and can read some travel stories. And I’ll automatically be entered to win 4 free tickets to a tour in a city of my choice, as will anyone else that subscribes by Friday 12/14/07. If I won I’d pick San Diego, of course.

It is very hard to have a loved on in the military. There time is just so limited…I know first hand since my husband was in the Marines for the first 3 years we were married.
