Insurance

I was thinking this morning that we have alot of types of insurance we deal with.
I just had to pay our monthly car insurance payment this morning. I was happy to look at the bill and see we only have two more payments left for this year, and then no more until February. Car insurance is mandatory here in New Jersey, and probably the most expensive as well. Every couple of years I like to call around and Compare car insurance prices to be sure I’m getting the best rate. That’s something I would suggest to everyone – check your rates from time to time.
We have renters insurance on the house. I would never not carry renters insurance, we have just too much to lose. It’s inexpensive anyway. We even have a rider on the computers in case of spills and stuff. We’ve never made a claim and every year we get some money back. We are not able to get renters insurance through all carriers because we have a Siberian Husky dog, which some insurance companies won’t cover. Of course we have this instead of home insurance because we don’t own our house.
We have Life insurance too. I wish life insurance wasn’t so expensive. We don’t have nearly as much as I’d like. Hubby smokes and that makes his rates crazy expensive. I’m overweight which makes my rates high as well. I always want to increase the amounts we have but we just can’t afford it.
And last but farthest from least we have medical insurance, a topic of its own for a different day.
