Give thanks, don’t say it.

Many of you know that I do some paid writing on this blog. I am not embarrassed by it, and I feel if done properly there is nothing wrong with accepting money for writing. The company that I began with and have made the most from is IZEA, who I still refer to as Pay Per Post. The company is one of if not the most well known pay to blog companies out there. I have never had any problem with them. I enjoy the work I do for them, as well as the opportunity they’ve given me to make a few extra dollars.

A while back, fellow postie Mama Bok suggested we all donate to IZEA’s favorite charity, in their name of course. A number of people agreed, and now here we are. We’ve recently learned that Habitat for Humanity is the favorite charity. Posties who wanted thought that donating to show thanks include Ann of Zoo Talk and Soaring Ahead, Holly of Everything and Anything, Chumsy’s Mommy and the Kalamaf Dracksonsbane blog. Today, in the spirit of Christmas, I have made a donation to Habitat for Humanity in IZEA’s name as my way of showing and giving thanks.

Anyone can donate to Habitat for Humanity, not just bloggers. Just visit the Habitat.org website, which has a secure online donation form. Any you can donate any amount you want. Join us and show your Christmas spirit. It’ll help someone who needs a home get one.
