Don’t go into that closet!

I’m referring to my younger son’s bedroom closet. It isn’t his fault, it’s just the way it is right now. I promised myself starting this coming week I am going back to my goal of doing one thing a day, and his closet is on the list. Back in September I mentioned my bad experience with Space Bags, as well as how using boxes didn’t work out either for storing my sons clothes. His closet is full of bent and broken boxes and torn bags, as well as the clothes that have come out of the bags and boxes. I have to get his closet organized. I saw a storage container system online that would probably work well in a situation like this.

The Neatpod container system doesn’t need any hardware and holds itself together. To get a container out you just slide it out as you would a drawer. You push it back into its spot to put it away. This system not only works to neaten and organize your stored items, but it protects them as well.

Neatpods come in sizes useful for storing shoes, boots, accessories, clothes, sweaters, hats, among other things. They can be bought individually or in sets. But after watching the video on how the system worked I found myself thinking they might also work for storing some small toy pieces in my sons room as well. He has a lot of small things he plays with regularly that end up all over the place or separated, such as puzzle pieces, books for the electronic learning toys, plastic train tracks, and lots of little people people. Since the containers sort of snap shut my son would be able to work with them fairly easily. I’ll have to talk to the hubby and see if he agrees with me on trying to use it this way. The system is a neat idea, and it looks like it works pretty well too.
