Coming up next - more surgery

I got in to see the oncologist today. They told me to come at 3pm. It was made clear they were squeezing me into a time slot that didn’t exist. It took well over 2 hours to be seen. This dr wants me in for an open surgery this Friday. I should be in the hospital 2 days. Starting first thing tomorrow morning I am allowed clear liquids only, no food, through midnight, after which I am allowed nothing. The dr’s supposed to be very good. He’s very thorough, but his personality is not what I am used to.
