I’m baaaack.
I decided to upgrade WordPress on this blog tonight. I have done an upgrade before, and wasn’t anticipating any issues. Well, this time was different. My whole blog disappeared. I actually started to cry. I downgraded back down to 2.2.3 and the blog was visible to readers again, but I couldn’t log in. Well at that point not much really mattered because either way wouldn’t work correctly. So at the suggestion of one of the awesome members of the Surpass forum I reinstalled completely, including deleting the old. I almost threw up as I watched everything delete. The plan was that I would attempt a database import and if I was lucky things would be ok. If not I was going to ask tech support if they could help me. Well after completing the new install, when I went to log in a message came up telling me I had to upgrade my database. Why not. I did and lo and behold, almost everything returned. I feel lucky. Thank goodness for Surpass Hosting forums! I’m going to bed soon, I’m exhausted. I just figured I’d post this in case you saw odd behavior when visiting my site, or in case you saw no site at all. TTFN!

Omygawd lol You almost threw up upgrading from 2.2.3? I nearly had a heart attack when I upgraded from 1.5 to 2.3 because I was so lame in not wanting to upgrade previously.

I’m terrified to upgrade any of my other blogs now. It was so awful watching the content delete from my oldest domain which is also my oldest blog and my biggest money maker, I really did think I was going to be sick.
