Baggy pants look really awful.

I don’t mean slightly baggy pants, or loose pants. I mean seriously baggy pants, the kind that the crotch hangs down to the knees. It doesn’t look nice. Why do people wear them like that anyway? My brother is in the Navy and home on leave for Christmas. On the second day he was here he was wearing jeans so baggy that when he held the waistline out he could have fit another one of himself in there. Now he’s always liked his pants baggy, but not this extreme. When I asked him why this pair was so huge, he told me it’s because he’d lost fifteen pounds because the food on base was awful. He was never fat, he’s always had a good athletic build. Now he looks too skinny. Ever since the chat it seems almost as if he’s been eating non-stop, as if he’s trying to gain some weight back. I keep thinking that if he keeps eating junk he’ll need to find a San Diego cosmetic dentist when he goes back to California tomorrow to check and see if he’s got a bunch of cavities.
