Paranoid or right?
Ok, so I saw the boss again today, that’s two days in a row. We haven’t seen her more than once or twice in two to three months and now I’m graced two days in a row. Today she went into one of the rooms and after the student left, she remained in there with Meye behind closed doors for another almost 10 minutes. After she left, Meye told me the boss told her to ask me to help her with a test sometime next week. I told her I wasn’t sure how I could do that as I’d already given her the study guides and told her how to find out what questions she’d gotten wrong on the test so she knew for the next time. So I asked the boss what she meant, she said well be nearby in case she needs the answers. I told her I would not take the test for Meye, that noone had taken it for me, also that Meye needed to know the info for if I was ever out a day. Boss replied well then I’ll be nearby. I also told her that if she was going to fire me or replace me with Meye that she’d have to do it without my help. She said Meye’s just a teacher. Yeah right. Once the boss told me anyone can teach. This girl can’t, she just reads the material, and doesn’t even do that well. I suspect the big rush to get Meye to pass this test is to get rid of me. I bet this is how the director before me felt, because this is the type of behavior she showed toward him at the end. Unanswered phone calls, unanswered emails. I used to think he was paranoid, but maybe not so much.
Two interesting things this afternoon. First, a call from our phone service provider, specifically their Accounts Payable rep. (No great surprise there. I know in the past we’ve not paid at least one of our suppliers as well.) Second, a call from a rep at http://www.intelligentoffice.com/, which is local, she said she needed to speak to Eliza about the calendar and stuff that she’s setting up. Thirdly, the boss just called asking how Meye’s day went, I told her she didn’t mention any problems to me but she had left early sometime ago. I do believe my time is coming.
