Car sickness
So today I had to get my parents atrium door up North. I didn’t think it would fit in the back of my Expedition, so figured I’d need to make use of my brothers pickup with the 8ft bed. He didn’t want to trade before he left for work. And so began my day. I went to FedEx to ship a phone back to Nextel for myself. I went to UPS to ship a phone back to Sprint for my brother only to find out they can’t help customers until after 11:30am. Then I started up the parkway. On the way my brother called and told me he had like a 3 hour lunch and was offering to go with me. I thought that beat going alone. So I dropped my truck off at the port off we went in his truck. In his defense, he didn’t drive like a madman. (A switch.) See I have this problem where if I’m not driving, I feel really sick and will throw up. The longest distance I can manage passengering is about 5 miles. So the 40-50 miles (including the part where we followed awful directions and got a little lost) we drove was ungodly. By the time we got there I could hardly stand up and thought my coffee was coming back out the way it went in. We picked up the door, which it turned out would just fit in my truck with a couple of inches to spare. Back to Newark so my bro could help me move the door into my truck and I could go home and he could go back to work. I stopped at UPS again, only to find out the top slip of the shipping thingey wasn’t on there so they didn’t want to take it. They told me if it couldn’t be found to drop the package into one of those UPS mailbox looking drop boxes and it would make its way to where it had to go somehow. That made me nervous. Anyway. I ended up not getting home until exactly 2 mimnutes before the bus brought the baby home from school. Then we ran to the post office to send something, but I had forgotten it so we had to run home and get it and run back again. To boot, we went to Boy Scouts last night only to find out there was apparently no meeting as noone was there. Nice.
Tomorrow night after the baby goes to sleep my oldest and I are going to watch Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
