• 3 pcs. construction paper (red, pink and beige)
• crochet thread
• a pair of scissors
• hot glue
Step 1: Cut a big heart from a piece of beige construction paper.
Step 2: Fold the two outer sides of the heart on the left and the right area of the upper part of it.
Step 3: Fold the upper part of the heart towards you. This should be at least two-thirds of the total height of the heart and should touch the bottom end of the first fold made.
Step 4: Fold the tip or the bottom part of the heart towards the curved part of the heart in reference to the second fold.
Step 5: Cut a small piece of heart from the pink construction paper.
Step 6: Cut another red heart which is relatively bigger than the pink one. Glue the pink on top of the red one in the middle. This will be the locking mechanism of the envelope.
Step 7: Glue the end of the crochet thread starting from the topmost part of the heart from the back.
Step 8: Hot glue the heart on the flap of the envelope.
Step 9: Wrap the thread around the envelope to close it.
Step 10: Cut the excess thread once you are satisfied with the length of it.
You’re finished! You can now use this envelope for your love letter this coming Valentine’s day!
