P&G Costco Thanks Mom

My Mom has always tried to help me be my best person. She worked hard to make sure I had a decent life growing up. She loved and still loves me with all her heart. She tried hard to teach me right from wrong. She taught me the value of a good education. She taught me to always try to say what I mean. From Scouts to soccer to swim meets, she was there. That’s what good Moms do. And it didn’t stop when I became an adult. She’s always there to provide an ear or a shoulder. Heck, she even reads both of my blogs every day. Thanks Mom. You’re a wonderful Mom and I couldn’t ask for anything more.

As you probably know, the Olympics kicked off this week. P&G, the Proud Sponsor of Moms for the London 2012 Olympic Games, is celebrating moms around the world and saying “Thank you, Mom.” Two people they are recognizing are three-time Olympian and World Champion Water Polo Player Brenda Villa and her mom, Rosario. Brenda has become the successful water polo player that she is because of the support from her mom. As Brenda began to excel at water polo, her mom, a Mexican immigrant, encouraged her to pursue her goals and dreams in a completely unfamiliar sport. When raising children, especially athletes, Rosario gives this advice to moms “Encourage them, support them and allow them to follow their dreams. Make sure you give them the confidence to follow their own values and beliefs and stay true to themselves.” Recently P&G hosted a special send off celebration for the Olympian and her mom at a Los Angeles Costco Wholesale warehouse to remind shoppers of the important role that moms play in helping their children reach their full potential. To keep that celebration and thanks for moms everywhere going, P&G has put together a special prize pack for this giveaway. The prize pack contains brands that are known to perform well and are all available at everyday reasonable prices at Costco.
